This membership is exactly what I needed when I first started my business...
But it didn’t exist.
Walking away from my corporate job in 2019 was hands down the best thing I’ve ever done for myself (yes, even during the pandemic!)
I’d be lying though if I said that’s how I felt when I actually quit my job and tried to get this business off the ground.
The truth is, it looked a lot more like late nights going down the Google rabbit hole to try to figure out how to make (legit) money online.
While Google is definitely not a business coach, it did help me discover what a virtual assistant was and that’s when this business was born. Since becoming a virtual assistant, I’ve grown so much, and so many other VAs do too.
The struggle didn’t stop there though, while I knew what I wanted to do, I quickly realized how lonely, intimidating, and confusing the online world felt. Imposter syndrome kicked in hard and every #jobopp thread was flooded with hundreds of comments from other VAs.
I didn’t give up though, through it all I held on.
I knew I didn’t have a back up plan so I kept hustling and then eventually it happened—I signed my first client! I wanted to scream it from the rooftops, but no one understood what I was celebrating and that’s an incredibly disheartening feeling.
I quickly learned the importance of having a tight-knit, judgement free community of other service providers who understood the struggles, wins, and everything in between and that’s why I created this community. It’s exactly what I wish I had when I was first starting out.
